Synopsis:

A discontented bank teller and his friend plan on holding up the Latigo Bank. At the last minute, teller Frank Vardon gets cold feet about faking the robbery. Roy his friend tries to convince him to follow through; but Frank draws a gun on him demanding he put back the money.  Frank fires on Roy and Roy stumbles outside the bank; where he fires upon Clay and the approaching crowd. Clay smartly fans his gun leaving the robber mortally wounded. As Roy lies dying, he exposes the plan to rob the bank and Gib arrests Frank. Clay decides to defend Frank Vardon.

 

Later on, three obnoxious cowboys attend the hearing and leave an anonymous threatening note for Clay. Also attending the hearing is Clyde Wicker. Wicker blames the bank loan policy and Frank’s compliancy for the death of his ailing wife. When the charges are dropped, Wicker confronts Clay in the street were the two try to settle the matter with fists. When the bank is robbed again and Frank is found dead, can Clay find the true perpetrator of the robbery and murder?
