Marshal Gibson Scott

Russell Johnson

Deputy Lon Gillis (Hampton Fancher) - Marshal Scott's Deputy. Lon is a tall, skinny, gullible young man in his early 20s. Gib often loses his patience with the slow-witted deputy, but he's a reliable backup for the Marshal as long as he stays clear of gunfire! Lon’s fondness for Clay often puts him at odds with his boss. Lon's dark features suggest he may have some Indian blood.

Judge Caleb Marsh (J. Pat O'Malley) - A circuit judge who presides over the territory and town of Latigo, Judge Marsh is a tough elderly gentleman with an excellent knowledge of territorial law. Nothing escapes his scrutiny! Judge Marsh has little patience for Clay's courtroom antics, has no problem telling him so and often threatens the attorney with disbarment. Having been a circuit Judge for many years, he’s cynical towards testimony from the accused. He does not tolerate any courtroom insubordination and will call for the Marshal immediately.

Tim Potter (Walter Burke)- Tim works many jobs in Latigo, either at the newspaper or the livery stable; his tendency to drink doesn’t make him very reliable. He is very observant about people and is a harmless man who perfers to drink alone. Clay has a soft spot for Tim and sometimes helps him home after a "bender"

Steve Rhodes (Harry Tyler)- a friendly elderly man who runs the town's livery stable. He has a particular fondness for Nora and is always willing to help her.
